Storage: Protect Your Gear

Dry and Safe: Store your boots in a cool, dry space away from direct sunlight to prevent cracking and fading caused by moisture or UV exposure.
Let Them Rest: Rotate your boots regularly to allow time for proper drying and to maintain their structural integrity.
Shape Matters: Use a sturdy shoe tree or stuff them with newspaper to preserve their shape without stretching the leather or material.

Cleaning: Combat the Dirt and Grime

Daily Dirt Removal: After a hard day’s work, brush off dirt and debris with a stiff-bristle brush. For stuck-on grime, use a damp cloth to gently clean the surface.
Deep Cleaning: If your boots encounter oil, chemicals, or mud, use a mild soap or work-boot cleaner to remove residue, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

Conditioning: Keep Them Tough and Supple

Choose Wisely: Use work-boot-specific conditioners or oils that won’t damage the leather or waterproofing. Avoid products with alcohol or harsh chemicals.
Even Application: Apply conditioner sparingly, working it evenly into the leather with a cloth or brush. This keeps the material hydrated and prevents cracking.
Right Frequency: Condition your boots 3–4 times a year or whenever the leather starts to feel dry. Avoid over-conditioning, which can weaken the material.
